When Crystal initially started her blog in 2018, she did so to help her soul find healing as she wrote. Her prayer was that God would use her words to encourage and inspire others through whatever season her readers find themselves in.

Crystal has now taken her gifts to new levels with her first children's book, And Then There Were Five, which was released in late 2023, and a memoir on the way. Both written with the same goal in mind - to honor the life of her son, John Rudy, and to remind you that there is beauty in broken places and that we can learn to laugh and cry all at the same time. To remind ourselves that there is such sweetness to this thing we call life. 

 

Crystal is a wife to her best friend, Scott, of thirty-five years. Together they live in Georgia and have five children, four biological and one adopted. Crystal shares the bitter and sweet moments of life through her testimony. Her best times were spent in the mountains with her husband, homeschooling her children, enjoying a good cup of coffee and couponing; mixed with the bitter moments that seem to always hit her family in the most unexpected times.

Crystal shares her experience on how God guided her family through job loss, medically ill children, her daughter's journey through infertility, and her son, John Rudy, being called to heaven at the age of twenty-five.

So, as it happens to all of us, it's all jumbled up….the good…the bad…but the scripture that keeps Crystal's faith is found in Romans 15:13 which says, “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust Him.
